2023 Cobra AeroJet Drivers, Forest Fairway – GolfWRX

What you need to know: Based on the LTDx platform, the new Cobra AeroJet family includes three models: Aerojet LSAnd AerojetAnd Aerojet Max. internal high bridge structure (PWR-Bridge Weight) In the only part of the club is the central technique of the line, which puts the CG low and forward.

Advanced aerodynamic shaping: The AeroJet engine produces 1.5 mph more speed in bot testing than the LTD line, and features advanced aerodynamic shaping and unique weight configurations for maximum clubhead speed and precise mass configuration.

PWR-Bridge Weight: Suspended in the club’s sole like a bridge, the 13-gram PWR-Bridge places a CG low and forward for reduced spin and a flex sole for enhanced power transfer.

PWRSHELL Face Insert: This technology, which first appeared in the Cobra Driver, produces an even larger sweet spot.

Hot face (highly optimized topology): The AI-engineered variable thickness face produces more efficient spin and speed across the racquet front.

Thin carbon fiber raw finish…The club’s crown and sole are 30 percent thinner than “ordinary carbon fiber,” according to the company, which contributes to a lower centering rate and more engineers’ discretionary mass for contact at launch and spin.

Additional form details

Aerojet LS

  • Low launch, low spin
  • Neutral to fade biased
  • Smaller profile in the header
  • Two weight ports in the sole (with 12g and 3g weights) are positioned forward in the heel and toe

Aerojet

  • Fixed 12g rear weight for higher launch, MOI
  • Launch higher than the LS while still being low
  • Neutral shot format

Aerojet Max

  • Maximum stability with optional tow bias
  • Putting 12 grams of weight in the rear, 3 grams in the heel = stability with a small drag bias
  • Putting 12 grams of weight in the heel = greater drag bias

What does Cobra say?

“The aerodynamic package in the new AeroJet family for drivers is our most advanced yet,” said Mike Yagley, Cobra Golf Vice President of Innovation. “We continue to balance aggressive aerodynamics with optimal mass and flex characteristics to give players maximum clubhead speed and ball launch characteristics to increase distance.”
