Tampa – The Tampa Bay Lightning set a franchise record with a 12th consecutive home win over the Los Angeles Kings at Amalie Arena on Saturday, 5-2.

Tampa Bay beat the Minnesota Wild 4-2 on Tuesday and the Boston Bruins 3-2 on Thursday.
“It’s been a tough three teams to play in this league — teams that are big, strong, fast, and our guys handled them really well,” said Lightning coach John Cooper. “If there’s a bit of anxiety after a big win over the Bruins, and the impending break, how do we handle this game and look beyond. “When I recorded ‘Billy,’ I saw how excited everyone was,” Cooper said. “That’s what makes the room so great. All the guys get on with each other. There’s life outside of this game that we’re playing, and we have a tight-knit group for each other.”
Anderson Dolan cut the score to 2-1 at 10:12 when his shot from the left face-off circle went across Vasilevsky’s pads.
“That was the moment we thought, ‘Hey, we’re back on this,’” McClellan said. [Vasilevskiy] I usually don’t give up on those. But if you don’t launch it, you won’t have a chance to score anyway. My neighbor was shooting the disc.”
