Gen-AI and Ensuing Computer Human Whisperer

Generative AI is a class of artificial intelligence that uses algorithms to create things like literature, graphics, music, and more Language models.

Gen-AI has been burning in the news lately and promises to change computing. ChatGPT is the current star in this category, but Google is giving it a spin challenger Because ChatGPT has scared them away. They are hardly alone.

While there is a lot of concern about this technology dispensing jobs for humans, the kinds of jobs it will most often eliminate, at least in the beginning, are jobs that people often don’t like.

Plus, it’s part of the expected evolution of computers from glorified calculators to more like working peers, and it’s changing critical dynamics. Instead of people learning how to work with computers, computers based on artificial intelligence will increasingly learn how to work with humans.

Until that evolution reaches critical mass, when computers can fully perform as human peers—most likely when they rush past us in evolution, since machine speeds exceed evolution by thousands of orders of magnitude—we’ll need the whispering skills of AI. This is very similar to today’s need for people who know how to work with computers better or who have learned logical reasoning to work more efficiently with search engines.

Let’s talk about this development this week. Then we’ll wrap up with my Product of the Week, a new mechanical keyboard I’ve tried that only needs one thing to be perfect.

Linking Gen-AI to Humans

Traditionally, a “whisper” referred to someone who knows how best to handle and communicate with an animal. They are scientists who seem able to get into the heads of the animals they work with and train animals that seem untrainable.

They use verbal and non-verbal techniques that seem like magic to those who watch and form a bond of trust with the animals that seemed impossible for their owners, and the whisperer can transfer that bond to the owners at the end of the process.

True Whisperers seemed to come from their skills naturally. They relate in a different way than the rest of us, and just like scientists in other areas, I would expect they often don’t relate well to people.

Unlike animals with abuse or health or mental problems that generate fear of humans, generative AI systems will be relatively stable, though they will vary greatly depending on their programming.

However, understanding how to direct them to the desired outcome will be no less difficult because, unlike animals, we will ask AI to complete tasks that are much more complex than sitting, staying, or coming to us on command. We will ask AI to write scripts, articles, novels, create new products, and carry out military orders.

We also know that generative AI systems currently lack empathy, although there are those who are working to not only fix this but to use it to teach humans how to be empathetic. As those who have worked in IT already know, the big problem with generative AI today is that users don’t know what they want, so they can’t issue a request that generative AI can effectively execute.

AI Whisperers will be the bridge between generative AI and the human user. Whisper understands what the AI ​​needs to hear and can better translate what it wants into a command that directs the AI ​​more efficiently to get the job done. Scale will immediately become a problem because, like animal whispers, it will be so rare that it will be hard to recognize at first.

Just as we’ve created generative AI and trained it on materials to accomplish an ever-increasing variety of tasks, the bottleneck is that people just aren’t great communicators. Since generative AI can progress at machine speed and will gain consistency over time, it is the human side of this problem that needs more work.

The final stage of generative AI development will be the creation of AI-based human whispers. These AI systems are obviously trained to learn what humans want. Their unique methods of communication, whether verbal or non-verbal, can motivate or manipulate humans into accomplishing the required task of thoroughly considering their requests—often by providing simulated feedback and historical perspective to avoid errors that might otherwise occur—to speed up and increase the quality of the overall process.

Because they can be trained through digital knowledge transfer, human-whispering AI systems can expand and be able to complete the bridge between people and machines, finally providing a look at the full potential of true human-AI synergy.


Generative AI is a game changer that will help eliminate repetitive tasks and even a lot of grinding when you need to write a long paper, article or book.

It will perform better as a tool for human enhancement rather than a tool for human replacement because its creativity is derivative and it lacks empathy, which means it will do a lot of socially unacceptable things on purpose without supervision.

Those who work best with this technology at first will embrace and learn it, like those who previously embraced and learned mainframes, computers, and logical reasoning.

We should see AI whispers initially appear as a bridge between these AIs and people who have not yet learned how to think about their requests and properly formulate their requests.

Eventually, they will be replaced by AI-driven human whispers, allowing technology to advance more quickly and deal with related communications problems on a large scale.

Computers are about to become more social; We are not at all ready for this yet.

If you type a lot, like I do, there’s no such thing as a great keyboard. For me, a mechanical keyboard is much better than the cheaper chicklet-style keyboards on most laptops and desktops.

I love the longer key travel, firm touch, and the fact that mechanical keyboards last longer than their cheaply made counterparts.

Many of us like to listen to music or podcasts while we work, and being able to manage that content with custom keys is very useful. You can also press the volume rocker to mute the speaker, but there’s one feature that’s lacking: a microphone mute button for video calls, which is much-needed by those working from home.

The Das Keyboard 6 Pro has a handy sleep button, which, if you don’t have a user sensor (a feature that suspends your computer when you step away from it), is a great way to reassure your kids or co-workers. Don’t mess with your stuff if you leave your desk.

I found the keys a little sticky at first, but that cleared up in the first 15 minutes, and this is now the keyboard I use for most of my work. I wish it had a microphone mute button.

It comes in two versions: one with softer keys and the one I got that is more clicky. I like the clickable version, but if you’re in an office, your co-workers might prefer that you take the quieter option.

The cool keyboard helps productivity, reduces errors and hand fatigue, and creates a more enjoyable work experience. Accordingly, the Das Keyboard 6 Professional, which retails for $199, is my go-to product of the week.
