Book.io is building the infrastructure to put e-books and audiobooks into the series, which will allow readers to own the digital books they purchase, rather than the current industry licensing model. This will enable an entirely new secondary digital marketplace where publishers and authors can earn royalties and take advantage of new direct author-to-reader engagement channels.
Book.io will work directly with Ingram Extensive digital and physical infrastructure to create NFT e-books and audiobooks from the world’s leading authors and publishers. Ingram A print-on-demand service, Lightning Source, will enable Book.io to bundle NFT eBooks with an industry-first printed on-demand physical book, called Mint & Print®, enabling the ability to print individual physical books based on NFT eBook ownership and deliver those printed books Within 48 hours anywhere in the world.
Within 60 days of launching the helper blockchain platform and eReader dApp, Book.io was created $250,000 in net sales revenue, and continues to generate daily royalties from secondary market sales – with individual collectible e-books selling more than 4000 USD All. Book.io is in discussion with several major publishers and authors and is scheduling titles for release this fall.
