Although Amazon has done a pretty good job of keeping most Echo smart speakers and smart displays updated every year, high-end options like Echo Sub And the Echo studio I haven’t seen an update in a while. While the Echo Sub is more than just an addition to other smart speakers, it wouldn’t hurt to update it or add something like a mini-sub to the lineup. The Echo Studio is supposed to be the premium option, but it’s been years since it’s gotten any love from Amazon. Maybe we can get a nice speaker that fits our Fire and Sub TVs?
You know what Amazon also has – tablets and e-readers. Amazon Fire tablets are some of the great Android tablets that can be had without breaking the bank. The fire 7 And the Fire 7 Kids Tablets Updated earlier this year, fire 10 It was last year and fire 8 In 2020, but maybe the Ultra-like device is worth it. Maybe something more on the high level. It might also be a good time for a new wave of Kindles to spice up the e-reader line, too.
Ring has reached the point where it has become an extensive download catalog of products, but some areas could use refill – specifically the smart lock. Ring has some really Awesome video doorbellAnd adding a lock to the mix to further secure your front door makes sense. Sure, some really Fantastic smart locks Ring compatible, but having an official device will likely provide a more complete experience.
Another thing we might get is some updated Fire TV hardware or software. Amazon owns some of The best streaming devices The market seems to be updated regularly. But one of the devices that did not get any indication update is Fire TV Cube. This product was an Alexa speaker as well as the most powerful streaming device Amazon has to offer, but it seems to have been forgotten. This may be due to Amazon launching its own brand of smart TVs, which I reviewed as Fire TV Omni And he was very impressed. So, hopefully we can get some updates on the entertainment side of things.
While this event will likely cover updates to existing products and services and some new devices, with another Amazon Prime Day event in a few weeks, we can get more details on the subject. Since this is the first time Amazon has had two shopping events in one year, and the second is close to Black Friday, I can see them talking about it, and today would be a prime time to do so. Get it, Prime?
Can Amazon drop the curtain on its plans for Matter and when will these updates be rolled out to its compatible devices? It would be great to hear some updates about the much-anticipated smart home device protocol. With Amazon being an important player in the development of issue, along with Google and other brands, an update would be nice. This event can also lead to a good launch of the platform. We have to see!
Another thing I’m looking forward to at Amazon device events is the new Day-1 hardware. Day 1 products are generally unruly products in concept, but that’s what makes them so cool. This may seem counterintuitive due to what I said before about the Astro robot and Ring camera drone, but I’m only disappointed that we don’t have these yet. Day one items are fun, and I love seeing them though.
Sorry everyone, I forgot to mention this is Chris Weddell keeping you posted with our hopes on the event and what will actually be announced.
I wonder if we’ll be able to get any updates on the Astro bot or the Ring Always Home Cam. Since these devices were announced at previous events, very little has been said about these devices since then, and they are still not available for typical purchase methods. These great products are still stuck in the Amazon invite program and they are expensive. So, getting more information on what’s going on with these things and when they become more accessible.
Personally, I’m very excited to see the new smart home devices that are coming from Amazon. For years, the company has been making some impressive devices and offering the most complete profile of smart home products in the entire segment. I’m hoping for an upgraded version of the Alexa platform that offers better screen customization on smaller screens, just like what’s available on larger smart displays like Echo Show 15 And the Width 10.
