Day two of the 2023 Pioneer Pole Buildings Motorsports Show on Saturday featured a guest appearance by NASCAR Cup driver Ryan Preece, the presentation of Best Booth awards by newly crowned Aqua Deck watercraft Ms. 2023 Motorsports Lindsey Jarrell, and a rousing roundtable discussion between Billy Bausch And many of his previous car owners.
Brees signed hundreds of autographs for the fans after reporting to the attendees about his excitement about racing full-time on the NASCAR Cup circuit for the first time since 2021. Brees signed autographs in front of United Rentals Stewart-Haas Racing Ford’s No. 41 Mustang and he will. Driving full time in 2023.
Ms. Motorsports 2023 kicked off its reign at the show on Saturday, offering Best of Booth awards to show exhibitors.
Award winners are SUBLMTD for Best Commercial Show, Logan Watt for Best Stock Car, Adrianna Delliponto for Best Open Cockpit Car, High Side Hustler for Best Quarter Midget, Outlaw Micro Stocks/ALP Enterprises for Best Speedway Club, Bruce Larson’s USA 1 Funny Car for Best Drag Show Car , a Liedl L that was part of the Billy Pauch Tribute Show for Best Vintage Stock Car, and a Kurtis Kraft 1956 Roadster No. 27 for Best Classic Open Cockpit Car.
Exhibitors were delighted to attend the exhibition on both days of this year’s fair.
“We had a lot of interested people in our booths all weekend,” commented Doug Rose, promoter of Bridgeport Motorsports Park and The Action Track at Kutztown. “It was a steady crowd on Fridays and Saturdays that was non-stop,” Rose said, noting that his hoarse voice was from speaking to the audience, not from being cold.
“It was a very busy Friday for us and a strong Saturday,” said Dave Elley, Bulldog Riders/DMI Manager. “This is our 12th year at the show and it’s been fantastic. We don’t necessarily show to generate sales as much as we do to support the concept and meet our customers. We’ve had some new sales this year.
Jeff Burnet of Burnet Performance Gallery, who had 11 salespeople in his booth, was thrilled. “Friday was very good and Saturday was good. Lots of traffic, good steady sales,” Brent summed up.
Bob Hilbert Sportswear staff said that while there were some shirts at the end of the show, none of the most popular sizes were left.
Racing legend Billy Bausch was joined on stage, for the second day of the show, this time by several of his former car owners including Glenn Heinemann, Da Hanson, George, Marlene Van Varick, Tony Cecily, Al and Dave DiBlasio, Leon and Joe Liddell, stories of son were shared between the owners who praised Bauch for his efforts with their equipment while reminiscing about some of the trials and tribulations of their years together.
The American Three-Quarter Midget Racing Association (ATQMRA) took advantage of the motorsports offering to host its annual awards banquet on Saturday afternoon, where 2022 Champion Kyle Tarasca was honored among many honors.
PPB Motorsports’ Saturday show activity is dedicated to a wide range of seminars.
Topics include Sprint Car 101 with Jim and Chris Shuttlesworth, Engine and Fuel System Maintenance from VP Racing Fuel’s Fred Turza, Team Dirt Sportsman Development with five-time 2022 Championship-winning Crew Chef Sam Wescott, and race photography tips from award-winning Lensman Bob Yurko, Dirt Modified Four Coil tips from Chuck Schmick of Behrent’s Performance Warehouse and formerly of Eibach Springs, and Basics Of Racing with longtime motorsports presenter Roy Anderson.
Jim Shuttlesworth was delighted with its turnout. “We had somewhere around 35 people at our Sprint Car Seminar. They listened and asked questions. I think everyone who was there learned a few things,” Shuttleworth shared.
Also on Saturday’s schedule, the RAACE Children’s Big Wheel races were organized with a large participation of young people participating in three different age groups.
The dates for the 2024 Pioneer Pole Buildings Motorsports Show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks PA have been set by Len Sammons Production for Friday and Saturday, January 19-20, 2024.
