Hello everyone and welcome to the week! It’s time again to take a look at the noteworthy updates of the past seven days. Halloween updates are starting to come in, and there are at least a few of them in today’s pick. This week also sees the return of the recently missed obligatory matching puzzle game update. I, uh, think they weren’t obligated after all. Of course, you can follow the updates yourself by participating in the TouchArcade forums. This weekly summary is just here to provide you with the things you may have missed. Let’s go to it!
Fire Emblem Heroesfree
Let’s start by taking a look at the latest update of Fire Emblem Heroes. Perhaps not the most exciting updates, but a few for this game these days. Still, it’s a good enough warm-up for this week’s article. In this version, the Binding Worlds mode has been updated. You can now see heroes in the armies of your fellow summoners, send friend requests to summoners, and more. There are also some new stages with stronger enemies to deal with. Fabulous.
Horizon Chase 2And the
As you might expect from an update coming fairly soon after launch, this new version of Horizon Chase 2 It’s more about fixing issues that came up in the initial release than adding anything major to the game. The HUD’s elements have been modified for those with touch controls to make things easier on the eye, and a battery-saving option has been added to the settings menu for people who find the intense visuals to be a bit of a power for your device. Other than that, it’s a bunch of bug fixes. But hey, we love bug fixes about these parts.
Cut the cord remasteredAnd the
Simple update. Just a small one. But it is something, and for an old game, nothing is nothing. Obviously we’re celebrating Om Nom’s birthday, and our way to do that is…play nine new levels? Well, at least the little one gets some candy. I can think of worse birthdays. Like that time in high school when I planned a barbecue and invited all my friends, and through an unlikely series of completely unconnected events, no one showed up. Ha ha, buried shock!
It’s time to ride the waves on some subways in Mexico! It’s Halloween, and an amazing new surfer named Fantasma joins the team. Bob the Blob is back in his element, and he has a new Slime outfit to pick up. It goes well with the new plate, the slime smoking plate. Also in this update: a Halloween calendar packed with rewards, a timed tag team challenge, and a marathon challenge set in Vancouver.
Solitaire StoriesAnd the
Yes, this is another Halloween-themed update. There is a new scary story to play, as well as a few scary events. The story is based on Bram Stoker DraculaAnd that’s not a bad way at all. As for the events, one is a retro classic and the other is another Dracula themed affair. Overall, there are plenty of things you can do that will get you in that Halloween mood. While playing a solitaire game. Single set, but it works fine.
LEGO® Star Wars™: The UntouchablesAnd the
Lately, updates for this weird Apple Arcade game have centered around a single game star Wars Movie/TV show or another, and that won’t go against the trend. This time, it’s Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace in the spotlight. Ah, I have some weird nostalgia for this movie. I was looking forward to it so much, and it disappointed me so much. Like, right away. However, it still evokes a different time in my life, arguably a simpler and more innocent era. Anyway, you can trigger this event and unlock minifig parts based on the characters of the movie, and that includes Jar-Jar. It is very strong. you know what? I will give this UMMSotW For this week just to tickle my sad memories.
Zen Pinball PartyAnd the
I know what you’re thinking: new Zen Pinball Party Update means a new table. number! You are wrong! I assumed, and it was taken from you and from me! In fact, this update contains two new tables, not one. Both star Wars– a subject, and perhaps at least one of them is familiar with it Zen / Pinball FX fans. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens And the Boba Fett Join the fairly strong lineup of exhilarating silverware in this Apple Arcade collection, and this is nothing but good news.
Zookeeper worldAnd the
zoo keeper Keep going, with this new version of the game adding Zoo Rank 25 to achieve. It also adds twelve new puzzle stages to play, and surprisingly some short animated videos of Rabbit Rope that you can watch on digital signage in your zoo. A new episode will be added every week so, uh, be sure to tune in. I think this is the standout character of the game because a lot of the content in recent updates surrounds Rabbit Rope. Whatever works, I suppose.
Here’s this week’s free must-have puzzle game update, and it’s probably no surprise that we’ll be back in the Austinverse for this one. Gardenscapes You never miss Halloween, so here’s this year’s Halloween update. Embark on a potentially ill-advised journey to the vampire castle and see what you can bring. Also in this update: Teddy writes a new fantasy novel, Lisa tries to pass an art school exam, and secrets abound in a mysterious hotel.
World of Tanks Blitz – 3D Warfree
This is a mysterious update for Halloween, I think? There is a special event called Secret of the Lost Pyramid where you have to claim treasures while avoiding destroying the Medjay and Pharaoh tanks guarding them. The garage has undergone a scary renovation and there is some work on the Nightmare tank that I really don’t want to investigate. I don’t want to be cursed. You can get Shadowhunter enchanted tank by playing Operation Call of the Folio, which seems less damned.
This is about wrapping up the important updates last week. I’m sure I missed some, so feel free to comment below and let everyone know if you think something should be mentioned. As usual, major updates will likely have their own news stories throughout this week, and I’ll be back next Monday to summarize and fill in the blanks. I had a fun week!
